Chocolate Pecan Pie: A Wonderful Variation of the Pecan Pie

Preheat the oven. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk eggs to beat slightly. Stir in the corn syrup, melted chocolate, salt, brown sugar, vanilla, and butter. Stir until smooth to blend the ingredients well. Next, add the nuts and stir. Pour this into the unbaked pie shell. Put this in the oven and bake for 15 minutes at 400°F. Reduce the heat to 350°F and let the chocolate pecan pie bake for 30 to 35 minutes more. The outer rim of the filling should be set before you take the pecan pie out to cool.
