Another Interpretation of the Hungarian landscape status of sewage treatment - water, sewage, water supply - water industries
In Hungary, the public water service by the State Services and partner entities have provided water. Most land areas have access to safe drinking water, but the EC asked Hungary to improve its drinking water infrastructure, and investment of 1.2 billion 5-year improvements for future construction. Although the Hungarian water services over the past few years have also been updated, but the country Sewage Treatment facilities still lag behind the rest of the EU countries, especially in the capital Budapest, there are other cities and towns. In sewage treatment for new investment is necessary, Hungary ready for 5.8 billion U.S. dollars by 2013, spending for wastewater treatment projects.
Market demand The EU is prepared to provide 32.7 billion U.S. dollars of Hungary's financial support for the country's infrastructure updated 2007-2013, as part of the new Hungary Development Plan, which related to water supply and sewage treatment project is the construction of these investments priorities, including sewage treatment, water quality, pollutants and water facilities, repair maintenance, Water Framework guides, nature conservation, renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable consumption and the Environment Protection, about 1.2 billion and 58 billion was earmarked for water supply and sewage disposal.
Drinking water quality and supply Drinking water in Hungary are available in each town, 93.7% of the households are connected to the drinking water supply pipe network, to 2004, the water supply pipe total length of 64,400 km, 18.6% more than in 1991, The average capacity of public water supply 5.6 billion cubic meters. However, a considerable part of the pipe network has not reached the Union or the Hungarian national standards, sub-standard of a population of about 250 million, accounting for 25.1% of the total population of Hungary, about 873 municipal water supply is not satisfactory, the water was high content of arsenic, nitrite, fluoride and other pollutants pollution.
To change this situation is the first choice for the Government of Hungary, about 97% of the Hungarian water from the groundwater, the state-owned more than 1,600 watershed, which was also 75 to look forward to developing a strategic river basin water retention areas. Hungary basin using higher value of about 600, most of the ecologically fragile areas and terrain, nearly 600 million people are vulnerable to the impact of water supply, representing about 60% of the entire water supply capacity.
2001, the state drinking water improvement projects have been identified down, its objectives are (1) to ensure full compliance with the safety of drinking water standards; (2) reduction of regional differences in water quality; (3) ensure that no major changes in groundwater level and water safety. To achieve these objectives there will be new investment, which the new goal is to improve the process of drinking water, a key element of the process is independent and the future of technological innovation, to the other basin water, get water from other water supply systems, reconstruction of existing drinking water pipe network system.
Sewage treatment 2004, only 44.3% of the households are connected to the sewage treatment system, only 66.5% of the collected wastewater after biological treatment. Meanwhile, the sewage treatment plant sewage treatment capacity is very low, only 32% of the sewage purification treatment after the third grade, remove the nutritious substances. Parallel with the sewerage and other wastewater treatment solutions, such as: close to a natural sewage treatment, sewage treatment alone has not been widely used.
Consecutive national municipal wastewater collection and treatment projects in Hungary to build sewage collection and treatment systems, and facilities, including sewage treatment works fluid, expansion and modernization of existing sewage treatment and sewage collection system, the establishment of sewage sludge treatment and recycling systems. In the diversity and comprehensive technical support, in the water due to environmental or economic reasons, can not be handled well, with a special semi-natural and sewage treatment.

Hungarian Gypsy Music $12.99 This collection of traditional Hungarian gypsy classics is performed by Andras Farkas, a veteran of concert circuits and hotel circuits alike. The songs range from the more relaxed love songs to the fiery dances, always with Farkas' violin leading the ensemble. The ensemble can switch relatively well from a controlled movement together to a stretch of collective improvisation at a moment's notice, with punctuations provided by the cimbalom from time to time to pull the group back together. Some of the more interesting features of this album are perhaps those items that aren't exactly part of the Hungarian group repertoire: the solos. The cellist performs a nice rendition of a street tango early in the album, and the cimbalom player provides an outstanding rendition of a pair of czardas, a slow and a fast one. When a good cimbalom player goes into a fast passage, it makes for a good show of virtuosity, and this one is no exception. Given the wealth of Hungarian (and Romanian, among others) gypsy music available on the market, this album is rather overshadowed by the larger groups on larger labels (Muzikas, Taraf de Haidouks). At the mid-priced level though, it's not a bad buy for a quick listen of the same kind of material, although performed by a rather lesser-known band. ~ Adam Greenberg |

The 1956 Hungarian Revolution $19.99 In October 1956, a spontaneous uprising took Hungarian Communist authorities by surprise, prompting Soviet authorities to invade the country. After a few days of violent fighting, the revolt was crushed. In the wake of the event, some 200,000 refugees left Hungary, 35,000 of whom made their way to Canada. This would be the first time Canada would accept so many refugees of a single origin, setting a precedent for later refugee initiatives. More than fifty years later, this collection focuses on the impact of the revolution in Hungary, in Canada, and around the world. |
