This practice was originated in China over 3000 years ago and is used by millions of people all over the world to attract good health, wealth and relationships.  Feng meaning wind and Shui meaning water are said to be associated with good health. This metaphysical practice is a great way of Staying positive and being constantly filled with good energy. Doing so will bring such wonderful qualities as good health, prosperity, love and of course happiness.

The way you sleep will also have some saying in how we will wake up the next day. Avoid filling the bed with lacy pillows, dolls, and stuffed animals. The bed should be comfortable but not complicated. The fabric of the bedding should be cotton or silk.  Do not use polyester or other synthetics.  Cotton is better to sleep in then silk because cotton is more comfortable and breathable.  Placing a nice bamboo or floral duvet set made of 100% natural cotton is highly recommended. Do not place the bed pointing to the door.  Your toes pointing to the door have said to be the death position by the Chinese and many other cultures.  We definitely want to stay away from anything that has to do with death. Also, the door is where energy (chi) enters in your bedroom. The door should be wide open to allow fortuitous opportunities and good possibilities to come to us. Soft lighting is ideal because the bedroom is more a yin environment. Candles with no toxins are the best feng shui lighting. The color of your bedroom is an expression of fire, earth, metal, water and wood.  Choose colors according to the energy you need. Red, orange, purple, pink and a strong yellow will bring passion and high energy.  Blue and black is ease, freshness and abundance. Brown and green will bring health and vitality.
