These type of helmets can be found in just about any style helmet that you're looking to purchase whether that be shorties, three quarters, or full face helmets.  Regardless of the style, if the helmet meets the safety and manufacturing standards that have been set forth by the DOT, then you'll see the DOT sticker on the back of the helmet which means that it as met those standards.  Seeing that sticker often gives people a sense of self reassurance because they know they're buying a product that is made to protect them.

It's also important that you keep in mind that DOT motorcycle helmets are not guaranteed to keep you alive in the event of a motorcycle crash, but rather they'll help protect you more so than if you weren't wearing a helmet.  You're much more exposed when you're on a motorcycle so if you do get into a crash, you're more likely to be injured than if you were in a car.  Being properly equipped will at least give you a better chance at reducing the severity of injury if you do happen to be injured.
