THE WORLD OF BAR, KITCHEN, PATIO STOOLS II
As I promised in my last article, we are going to review some of the fabrics and bases.
Stools have four legs now as you may remember in my first article I mentioned stools having three legs, that was quite a few years ago, but now they do have four legs, which make the stools a very stable piece of furniture. They are very attractive with so many diverse designs, fabrics, and metal finishes. Many people enjoy creating something uniquely their own.
The variety of fabrics is enormous I have researched this matter, and you can actually use many fabrics on the seat area. Many of them are very attractive to the eyes, and very appealing to set different moods in different rooms of your home, cabin, or business. Some of these fabrics are water resistant, very easy to clean, and resistant to spills. You can also buy your own fabric to have a manufacture install this fabric, to match a certain mood you are creating for your favorite room. There are fabrics for many different themes. You need to do your homework to find some of the best fabrics on the market. The following is a list of just some of the fabrics available for you to choose from:Woven jacquard, soft microfiber, soft chenille, waterproof faux leathers, natural cotton canvas or
Muslin, waterproof grained leatherette, soft faux hide, soft faux suede, woven stain-resistant cotton,
Woven synthetic, cotton prints, and cotton/ polyester blends, to name a few.
Styles of Bases
Stools bases have improved greatly over the years. In our business we have four different bases you can have. Let me go over them thus, you can have a better understanding of each style.
Standard base This style is a very simple structure design. But it is built of solid wrought iron; it is a very straight forward leg style. It is non-rotating and it comes with a foot rest, which makes it a very comfortable stool. It is a very sturdy structure.
You can have it made with all the different styles of backs offered, and the fabric you wish to put on it.
100 Series This is a very interesting style made with solid wrought iron, it is elegant, like the classic traditional or Roman style. It reminds me of the roman columns. The one thing that many people do not notice is the upper reinforcing brace that is above the foot rest. It makes this base very sturdy. The only down fall is that this particular base cannot be used on any extra tall stools.
But you can include this design in all the categories of stools. What is attractive about this base is the finishing of the curve of the legs, ending with a cup shape non marring glide. You may desire to create a particular look and feel for just the right mood, in different areas of your home. In a business setting, it would be nice in an area of relaxation for the employees, or in the executive meeting room.
200 Series This quality base is constructed with wrought iron tubular metal. Keep in mind that this makes for a very strong and sturdy base. The engineering of this base is superb, especially nice for tall people. An added benefit is that it is quite appealing in design. Also, you may notice the brace installed on the outside of the legs above the foot rest, which are attached from the inside of the legs, reinforcing this elegant design. You may add the swivel or memory return mechanism, the arms; you could also have a plainly backless stool. You can have this base on any style of stools. It is also finished with the non marring glides. The design is also very elegant and more modern, with a slight curvature to the legs that make it more comfortable and easy to be used at the Bar, Kitchen, or whichever place you may think, it will set the right mood.
300 Series Now this is the style that I like because in my opinion, it has finesse. The structure as well, and the engineering make this base the top of the line. It is also as the 200 series with the brace on the inside of the legs, and the foot rest on the outside making this style very strong. The legs are straight for better support. This style of base is also used in Bars or Kitchen counters, Dens; Lounge areas, Airports, Hotels and any other areas you wish to have it. This base along with other options you use, can set just the right mood for these and other areas. This base can be used with any of the stool styles you may want.
