Oversized Duvet Covers - Get the Best
It is known that oversized duvet covers look very nice while maintaining a sense of practicality. How can you get the best?
If warmth is your chief concern this winter season, then get a down duvet, known for its softness, to hold your body heat all night long. But warmth does not sacrifice style in the process. Oversized duvet covers come in a variety of fashions, like county, exotic, modern and classic. In truth, an oversized duvet cover fits with any room style.
When you start shopping for a down duvet, remember the following:
Down fill power rating. This number corresponds the warmth and fluffiness of a duvet cover.
Thread count. Down comforters with a high thread get the soft, silky feel many desire; yet low thread count comforters feel rigid and rough.
Care instructions. Down is meant to be dry cleaned. However, you can launder your own at home. Just be sure to use a front load commercial washer and dryer so that your huge duvet cover has enough room to spin. A shoe or other stiff item can fluff your cover up more than usual. The only catch is the loud banging sound it will produce.
Get an oversized duvet cover in silk, flannel or polyester. The two latter fabrics are able to be machine washed, and flannel gets softer as it is washed more. No matter which material you think is best you can be assured that your oversized duvet cover will serve its purpose, to protect your bed from dust, dirt and bad odors.
